Today marks exactly a year since i watch my mum's spirit slowly leaving her body for heaven. Praying and trying not to cry as I knew I was busy loosing her at the time. I remember the day, 18 November 2011, in hospital like it was yesterday. Isn't it amazing how one is never afraid of life, until you realize you no longer have a mother... Because you've always had a mother. I can honestly say that losing a parent, especially a mother is one of the worst things to happen to anyone. She was a Phenomenal Woman and I would give anything to have her back. Mum, not only were you our mother, but you were our rock and our best friend. You have always been there for us, through thick and thin, no matter what we did, unconditionally your love never wavering. When I told you of the mistakes I made and all the times people saw me fall, You simply nodded and gently replied "So have we all" and "That the key to success is learning from the past, ensuring a brighter future is now the present task." A pillar of strength even until the end, Pushing us to be the best that you know we can be, Reminding us to keep the faith and allow God to lead us. Reminding us that it's through Christ that we can do all things, that He never makes a mistake and that we will come through victoriously. You may be gone from this earth physically, but spiritually and emotionally you will always be engraved in our hearts, constantly in our thoughts and embossed in our memory. We miss you more than these words could ever say. Mamma, sleep peacefully in the cradle of the Lord, as you celebrate your one year in Heaven. Till we meet again Mamma.... Gone but never Forgotten.
